Jacob Sechrist, born November 25, 1841 in York County, PA, was the 2nd oldest child of John Sechrist and Susan Frey.  He married Mary Shaull and they resided in at several different locations in York County, PA.  Jacob and Mary were the parents of four children, who were named Lillie, Alice, Gerty and Thomas.  Jacob passed away in 1933 and Mary in 1904, and both are buried at Dallastown Union Cemetery in York Twp, York County, PA.
