7. William Sechrist

William Sechrist, born March 12, 1827 in York County, PA, was the 8th child of Henry Sechrist and the first child born to Henry’s second wife Catherine Weinhold.  He married Susan Grove and they resided in Chanceford Twp, York County, PA, as William took possession of his father’s farm from him.  William and Susan were the parents of at least eight children, who were named Eli, Angeline, Reuben, Alice, Amanda, Anne, Ida and William.  William passed away in 1903 and Charles in 1901, and both are buried at Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery in North Hopewell Twp, York County, PA.
