Malinda is the fourth child of Jacob and Anna Maria, she was born on May 7, 1849. She was
baptized by Reverend William Vandersloot, who was a Reformed pastor in the Freysville Union
Church. On December 2, 1873, she married Pius Edwin Geesey, son of Jonathan Geesey and Sarah Flinchbaugh. The ceremony was held at her father’s house and performed by the minister of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church of Dallastown. They resided on Maple Street in Dallastown borough and that is where they raised their family. Malinda and Pius were the parents of four children, named Calvin, Jacob, Adam and Mary. Malinda passed away on January 19, 1927 and Pius passed away on June 18, 1928. They are buried in Dallastown Union Cemetery in York Township, PA.
